Our Mission
Our mission is to help ensure affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by combining international engineering, procurement and construction companies with national and local companies for network extensions and connections for universal electrification.Today, many thousands of people in the region are without access to energy and without access to clean cooking facilities. Eastern and Southern Africa only accounts for more than half of the world's non-electrified population - around 365 million out of 675 million. Accelerating energy access in the region is essential not only to unlock its potential and deliver on its development goals, but also to help the achieve sustainable development goals and address global challenges such as climate change, resilience and fragility.
By adopting and leading way in taking integrate approach that combine the grid and technologies of renewable energy, will revolution energy access provision. With the appropriate combination of ingredients, the effort to achieve universal electrification and sustainable development could be accelerated. Our goal of lighting every home will be no longer a dream but an achievable reality that will revolution access to energy for all.

Lighting The Way to A Sustainable Future
Step - 01
Energy Access in the African
Plus de More than 640 million Africans lack access to energy, resulting in an access rate of just over 40%, the lowest in the world. Per capita electricity consumption in sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa) is 180 kWh, compared to 13,000 kWh per capita in the United States and 6,500 kWh in Europe. Access to energy is crucial not only for achieving health and education goals but also for reducing the cost of doing business, unlocking economic potential, and creating jobs.
Step - 02
Energy Access in the COMESA
Plus de More than 200 million people in the COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) region lack access to reliable energy, resulting in an access rate below 50%, among the lowest in the world. Per capita electricity consumption in the COMESA region is estimated to be around 200 kWh, significantly lower than the 13,000 kWh per capita in the United States and 6,500 kWh in Europe. This energy gap continues to hinder economic progress, healthcare, education, and overall development across the member states.
Step - 03
Energy Access in the EAC
More than 70 million people within the East African Community (EAC) region lack access to reliable energy, leading to an access rate of around 40%, among the lowest globally. Per capita electricity consumption in the EAC region is approximately 150 kWh, compared to 13,000 kWh per capita in the United States and 6,500 kWh in Europe. This energy deficit restricts economic growth and limits progress in essential sectors like healthcare, education, and industry across EAC member states.

Africa is endowed with an immense energy potential, particularly renewable energy, but currently only a fraction of it is being utilized. Hydroelectric power provides about a fifth of the current capacity, but the utilized potential is less than a tenth of the total.
The technical potential for solar, wind, geothermal energy , bioenergy, and hydrogene is also significant. Although the Bank aims to prioritize renewable energy, fossil fuels continue to account for a substantial share of the overall energy mix, similar to several developed economies, with the Bank financing advanced technologies to minimize emissions.
In this context, IGESCO has introduced green energy solutions to light up Africa while simultaneously protecting the environment.
By harnessing renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, bioenergy and hydrogene, IGESCO is helping to transform Africa's energy landscape, contributing to sustainable development and environmental conservation.
